About the Virgin Islands Half Marathon December 7, 2008 St. Croix 34th Virgin Islands Half-Marathon This popular event draws runners of all experience and proficiency levels from around the
world who enjoy the challenge of long-distance running in a stunningly beautiful location. Certified by the
International Association of Athletic Federations and the Association of International Marathons and Distance
Races, the race traverses the east end loop of St Croix from north to south.
Transportation Transportation Tips: The heaviest travel days for races are arrivals Thursdays and departures Mondays. Avoiding either of these days could result in better flight selection and better fares. American Airlines from Miami; Delta from Atlanta and USAirways from Charlotte have non-stop jet flights to St. Croix. Many airlines connect to St. Croix via San Juan. Book American Eagle to St. Croix from San Juan. Cape air is a fine alternative for passengers, however it does not transport bikes. |
